About Misha Krymov
From the first day of my career, I create innovative environments for people to work, relax and have meaningful moments. I do this by leading multidisciplinary, international teams, designing and launching unique and award-winning products and projects. I bring together technology, design, and vision, discovering and pursuing disruptive opportunities for business. My passion in life is to come up with powerful ideas and make them a reality.
I graduated in architecture from the Moscow Architectural Institute and in business and innovation from MIT.
2008 I created Moscow architectural bureau Arch Group and led it for 7 years. Arch Group won major national and international awards and operates to this day. At the same time, I worked as the Editor-in-chief of the glossy magazine Interior + Design. 100% Office.
In 2015 I moved to the U.S. and was accepted into a one-year program at MIT (SPURS). After graduation, I founded the startup, Sleepbox – a modular and smart micro-hotel for airports and urban centers. Sleepbox has been covered by Forbes, USA Today, NYT, ABC7, Business Insider, and many others. It was a project that could potentially change the hotel industry by opening up a new niche of modular micro-hotels – a plan in which Covid intervened.
Since 2021 I’m building Morpheus XR with a vision of creating an enterprise metaverse for culture and connection.
