The important part about sheds is not their appearance, but what is within. In this project we imagined an archetypical shed, but with invisible walls and roof, so the “stuff” inside can tell its story.
The shed is an observer of a human life flow and his fellow-traveler through time. Over time, more and more things enter one’s life, and many of them end up waiting for their hour in the shed. The longer you live, the more stuff there is in the shed, occupying more and more space, every little corner and opening. At some point, it is even hard to get in or out, and the shed becomes a thing in itself. It holds memories packed to the extreme, representing our footprint in life and in time.
